Day three started out well as with time line like the last two days I was able to leisurely make my way down the mother road.  Once got down with my coffee and a quick trip to Kmart to get a new cooler as mine decided to start leaking , not good when its located in the tour pack with my computer LOL.  The other surprise was my camera mount bit the dust as well.  turns out the camera is small enough to work well hand held.

The road heading from Tucumcari to Albuquerque was filled with many abandoned structures form the days when commerce ruled the mother road.

Once leaving Albuquerque the road crosses into two different Indian reservations with great red rock formations and winding roads

The real fun stated when off in the distance as I was approaching Grants and then planning to finish my Day in Gallup.  The sky had other plans and let loose.

Luckily I was able to stop in Grants for fuel and lunch figuring I could wait out the storm, I got the lunch but then the storm hit knocking out the pay system for the fuel pumps.

And this is where my day ended, after the rain slowed I decided to just wait till tomorrow and start with a dry day to AZ.
